The Bored Apes Yacht Club NFT
First, just for disclosure, I don't own any Yuga Labs (The Company Behind the Bored Apes) NFTs or so-called assets. Love it or Hate it. This is one of the most expensive 10,000 PFP NFT collection, with the most well-known holders, thus lots of case studies to source from and learn about NFT or the successful marketing of NFTs.
31 Dec 2022: Justin Bieber Sued for Scamming?
YouTuber Spencer Cornelia just launched this video titled without the question mark. So in the end, it was because the celebrities are Paid-to-Own their BAYCs? Maybe that's why it was "cool" to have them...
But will it still be cool to own a BAYC for those who purchased it with their own money? As the saying goes "Don't FUD your own bags", i do feel that the holders have too much to lose and would refuse to sell theirs for cheap, so most likely the price will still more or less stay the same...

20 Dec 2022: Yuga Labs New CEO, Daniel Alegre, Former President, and Chief Operating Officer of Activision Blizzard
Seems to be great news for everyone who is looking forward to their Metaverse Development.
And just in case, you didn't know about Activision Blizzard, it is the company behind World of Warcraft, Diablo3, Overwatch, Call Of Duty, Hearthstone, Candy Crush, and many more.

12 Dec 2022: Class Action Law Suit on Yuga Labs
So are those celebrities paid to buy those NFTs? 👀
Will the holders still like the Art and the Community just like the Azuki holders when their founders admitted to rug-pulling as a learning lesson?
Quite possibly, as they have far more to lose as Yuga Labs Ecosystem is so much bigger with 5 of their collections in the top 10 all time.
Currently, in the Yuga Labs NFTs Ecosystem are:
Will they be too big to fail? Or too valuable for holders to keep holding the bag? Only time will tell. After all, prices are totally decided by the holders...

25 Jun 22: The Dark Side of Bored Ape Yacht Club?
Were you surprised when you found out that there are dark versions of Disney's Fairy Tales? Here's a similar vibe. This video created by Philion covers some fascinating details, especially the puzzles, that I would suggest you derive your own conclusions.
The Research is said to be done by Ryder Ripps, Philion, and many Twitter users. (Twitter is the platform where the web3 people are, and most likely also why Elon Musk is interested in acquiring Twitter).
The weird thing about Ryder Ripps was while he is accusing Yuga Labs of supporting Nazi, he is also selling his own copies of the same collection, rebranded as RRBAYC, and is currently in a lawsuit with Yuga Labs.
Usually, Yuga Labs are very lax with people copying their collections, that's also why there are so many fake Bored Ape Yacht Club NFTs out there. This is the first time, I heard of them suing, most likely due to the "wild" accusations.
You Can't Copy an NFT
Ryder Ripps' main defense is that you can't copy an NFT as technically every NFT is a unique digital contract that is text-based and points to a media file stored somewhere else. In this case, the media file is the picture of an ape.
Another example of NFT as a Digital Photo Frame. There is a unique serial number to it, whatever the Brand may be. And this photo frame is linked to only one picture, showing you from location X online.
Now your friend also has a photo frame from another brand or even the same brand that is linked to the same picture from location X. Can you sue him for having his own photo frame? As for the Brand part, you can "call" this brand Ethereum.

Famous Owners of Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT (Given or Bought)
Lots of celebrities including sports athletics, starting from Stephen Curry, Chainsmokers one of the early holders to Justin Bieber, Jimmy Fallon, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Gwyneth Paltrow, Madonna, Neymar, Paris Hilton, Timbaland, DJ Steve Aoki, and more.
At one point they were using those pictures on their social profiles, but somehow one by one they stopped, as more and more negative press came out... 🤷🏻♂️
30 Apr 22: The Otherside Launch
Marking the anniversary of where the Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT collection started, they launched their Metaverse, The Otherside Land Sale.
The trailer also includes other NFT collections such as CryptoPunks, Meebits, World of Women, CrypToadz, and Cool Cats as the partners in this metaverse.
Being the most popular NFT collection, the launch was highly anticipated. However the contract was not optimized, gas fees alone were as high as $40,000+ USD, leaving lots of users with failed transactions. Good thing the founders refunded those failed transactions.
Despite the backlash, the sales were highly successful netting the founders $100million in just 45mins. Each land was sold at the price of 305 Ape Coin which was launched in the previous month.
